This wooden toolbox keeps everything neatly inside, then flips over to become a stable workbench without removing the handle. It holds 37 pieces: a hammer, a wrench, a screwdriver, planks, wheels, gears, screws, nuts and nails. Your child connects the planks, attaches the wheels, turns the gears and builds small models such as an aeroplane or a windmill, before taking it all apart to start again.
At this age, children copy what they see: when you tighten a screw or tap in a nail, they study every movement.
