This wooden math game makes numbers something your child can see and touch. On the board, they fold down the felt fingers and move wooden blocks around to count, add and take away: remove two blocks out of four and two are left behind, right there in front of them. In the spirit of Montessori-inspired toys, early maths starts with the hands, without a screen or a workbook.

The box contains a four-part wooden board that you assemble yourself, 13 wooden blocks and 10 double-sided flashcards with small exercises to work through. Once put together, the game measures 13 x 29.3 x 14.5 cm and weighs 430 g. Its bright colours make it inviting on a low shelf, and its compact size means it is easy to bring along on holiday, to the grandparents' house or for a quiet afternoon.

The game combines wood, soft felt and card paper. To clean it, wipe with a dry cloth and avoid any contact with liquids. It is recommended from age 3. It makes a lovely gift idea for preschoolers, and one that parents and grandparents often choose when they want to share some playtime around numbers, counting on fingers and first simple sums together, without pressure and at your child's own speed.
