This wooden domino run is made up of 57 pieces that you set out like dominoes to build a course. Every piece is interchangeable: your child plans the route, places each part carefully, then sets the ball going and watches the chain reaction run all the way to the end. If something gets stuck, they work out why, adjust and try again. It is an open-ended building toy, with no screen, that calls for patience and attention.
You can start with simple layouts and work up to more ambitious courses over time. It also works well as a family activity: brothers and sisters, parents or visiting grandparents can build a run together, each adding their own idea. Packed away, the set measures 24.4 x 30.3 x 7.5 cm and weighs 805 g, and every piece fits back into the same box, ready for the next session at the table or on the floor.
The pieces are made of wood finished with non-toxic paint. To clean them, wipe with a damp cloth and a mild soap, then dry straight away with a clean cloth; avoid prolonged contact with liquids so that the wood and paint stay in good condition. The run is recommended from age 3. It makes a great gift idea for little builders who love to construct, test and start all over again.
