This water-absorbent diatomaceous earth mat is designed to soak up moisture quickly and keep your floor dry. Diatomaceous earth, or diatomite, is a porous mineral material that absorbs water and encourages rapid evaporation: the mat dries quickly after use, which makes it pleasant to use several times a day. Its slip-resistant surface gives it a good grip on smooth floors in busy areas such as the kitchen or bathroom, where people often walk around barefoot or in socks.
Looking after it is easy: the mat simply wipes clean and is made for everyday use. It comes in three sizes, 40 × 60 cm, 50 × 80 cm and 40 × 120 cm, the longest of which works particularly well in front of a kitchen counter or a long row of washbasins. Several understated colours are available, including grey, black and navy blue, to go with most tiles and furniture styles.
