This T-shaped meat scraper is designed to remove excess fat, membrane and connective tissue from beef or pork before cooking. It makes this preparation step quicker and more even than working with a knife, whether you are preparing a joint for roasting, cuts for the barbecue or meat that is going into a marinade, and it helps you get through a larger quantity of meat with less effort.
Its T shape gives a comfortable grip and a broad working edge, so you stay in control while scraping across the surface of the meat. The sturdy resin holder sits firmly in the hand. The stainless steel replacement blades are made for effective scraping; this version uses blades with a width of 5 cm, suited to smaller cuts and medium-sized surfaces. The holder is 14 cm long and the tool is white.
The set contains one holder and a box of 10 replacement blades, so you can change the blade as soon as the edge becomes dull. The blades are sharp: handle them with care, especially when fitting or replacing them, and keep the tool and blades out of reach of children. Clean and dry the tool thoroughly after each use before putting it away in a drawer, out of the way of other kitchen utensils.
