When you are making dinner, little ones often want to join in, but adult utensils are too big for them and plastic toy tools barely cut anything. This kitchen prep set for kids, inspired by the Montessori approach, is made to their size, so they can chop, peel and prepare food alongside you, taking part in real kitchen tasks and giving you a genuine helping hand at mealtimes.
The nylon knives, without exposed metal edges, cut soft foods such as bananas, strawberries, sandwiches and soft vegetables. The easy-grip handles are sized for small hands, to prevent the tool from slipping and to avoid awkward wrist twisting while cutting. The set also includes a crinkle cutter and peelers, with pieces for slicing, peeling, whisking and crinkle cutting, so there is no need to reach for adult tools.
Every piece is lightweight and washable, so cleaning up after a messy snack or lunch prep only takes a few minutes. Your child can prepare part of their snack themselves while you keep an eye on them. As with any kitchen activity, children should always be supervised by an adult, and the tools should be stored out of reach after use. A practical set for sharing time together in the kitchen.
