Soft chenille announces itself by touch before you register it by sight, and that is precisely what gives the Luxe Chenille cushion cover its matt relief and its depth of colour. The solid textured weave stays quiet, with no printed motif at all, and settles as easily on a deep sofa as it does on a bench or across the foot of a bed. The fabric holds the light instead of bouncing it back, which softens a whole seating corner.
The palette runs to eighteen colourways, from dark gray and matcha green through caramel, milk tea, apricot and azure blue, which is enough to build a graded arrangement along a long sofa rather than a pile of contrasts. Four square formats are offered, 45, 50, 60 and 65 cm. The larger ones support your back in the evening, while the smaller ones tuck into corners or sit neatly against an armrest.
The closure is a concealed zip set into the seam, invisible once the insert is in place and supple enough to take the cover on or off in seconds. It is sold without an insert, so the cushions you already own go straight back into service looking entirely different. Care comes down to a single line, a gentle machine wash, which matters on a seat used every day and occasionally claimed by the cat.
