This play teepee gives children a corner of the room that belongs to them, complete with a door. It combines a round base, a peaked roof and soft curtains that tie back at the entrance. Measuring 116 × 116 × 130 cm, it leaves room inside for cushions, books and a couple of children, who can sit up rather than crawl thanks to the height at the point.
The frame snaps together without tools: the poles clip into one another and the teepee is up in a few minutes. When the room needs to be a room again, it folds flat and stores behind a door or under a bed. The soft peach-skin fabric drapes nicely and has a fine decorative trim along the edges. The curtains open wide or close for a more private hideout.
The teepee fits a bedroom corner, a playroom or a living room, and moves between them without being taken apart. No mat is included with the frame, so add cushions or a rug inside to make it cosy. Its neutral tones, pink, beige or grey, sit easily alongside the rest of the room's decor and keep it from clashing with your furniture. Pick a corner, put it up before they get home and let the games begin.
