This wooden ukulele looks like a toy, but it is a real small instrument: you can play chords on it, make up melodies and strum along to favourite songs. Its compact size makes it easy for a child to hold, and it fits in nicely next to a parent's guitar for playing together at home, without a screen, for the length of one song or a whole afternoon of music.
It arrives with its strings already fitted. All you need to do is tune it before the first use: the easiest way is a tuner app on a phone, and the instrument is ready to play within a few minutes. As with any guitar or ukulele, a quick retune now and then keeps the sound in pitch, especially during the first days while the new strings settle and stretch into place.
The ukulele measures 17.3 x 5 x 52.5 cm and weighs 420 g. It is made entirely of wood. To look after it, wipe it with a dry cloth and avoid any contact with liquids so that the wood and the sound box stay in good condition.
