This wooden shape sorting cube offers a simple game with no instructions: your child picks up a shape, works out where it goes and pushes it into the cube. Some pieces slide straight in, while others need a gentle push through the soft elastic bands stretched across the sides. In the spirit of Montessori-inspired toys, there is no right or wrong way to play: your child chooses, tries and starts again, at their own pace and without a screen.
The set contains one wooden cube and eight wooden pieces in different shapes and colours. The pieces are sized for small hands, the surfaces are smooth and the corners are rounded. Once every shape is inside, simply take them out again and the game starts over from the beginning. The cube measures 14.7 x 14.7 x 14.7 cm and weighs 620 g, compact enough to take along on a visit or to keep on a low shelf within your child's reach.
To clean it, wipe the cube and the pieces with a dry cloth and avoid prolonged contact with liquids so that the wood stays in good condition.
