The mechanism uses a ceramic burr that produces a consistent, even grind. The body is made of black metal and sits on a wooden base that gives it its classic look on the worktop. It stands 24 cm tall with a base of about 11.3 x 11.4 cm, a compact and lightweight size that you can also take to the office, on a camping trip or when travelling.
When it comes to cleaning, skip the water: wipe the metal body with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Empty the drawer and brush out any remaining grounds with a small soft brush. Every now and then, grinding a small amount of dry, uncooked rice helps clear coffee residue from the burr. Avoid leaving ground coffee inside between uses, and store the grinder away from moisture and direct sunlight to keep the metal finish and wooden base looking their best.
