This manual burger press shapes minced meat into a patty of even thickness in a single movement. Its food-grade stainless steel body has a non-stick coating, so the patty lifts out instead of tearing. Five diameters cover every format, from sliders to a wide patty for a generous bun, whether you are firing up a barbecue or cooking a family meal at home.
Hand-shaped patties often end up thicker in the middle and thinner at the edge, which makes them cook unevenly. With a press, every patty has the same thickness, so they are ready at the same time on the grill. The stainless steel rinses clean, resists rust and does not pick up odours. The edges are rolled smooth, so the press is safe to grip and push down on.
The available diameters are 80, 89, 101, 114 and 140 mm. The press is dishwasher safe once you have finished cooking. If you are working with a very lean mix, line it with a square of baking paper. Stack the finished patties with paper between them so they separate cleanly when they come out of the fridge, and press a shallow dimple in the centre with your thumb so they stay flat on the heat. A simple tool for getting your homemade burgers just right, batch after batch.
