This felt busy book with a Christmas theme is packed with things to do. Page by page, your child finds a memory game, decorations to put in place, a clock for learning to tell the time, colours, shapes and numbers, along with little finger activities: fastening, sliding, opening and closing. It is all set in a festive scene full of the spirit of the holiday season.
Even before they can read, children can get into the habit of opening a book. At first they explore, handle the pieces and play the small games; then they come back to it, page after page, with no screen involved. It is a calm activity, ideal for journeys, family visits or winter afternoons at home. The book measures 9.5 x 22 x 21.5 cm and weighs 360 g, so it is easy to take along.
It is made of soft felt with strong bindings. Spot cleaning is all it needs; it should not go in the washing machine. It is recommended from age 3. As with any toy that has small parts, keep an eye on younger children while they play. It makes a lovely Christmas gift idea for preschoolers, ready to be unwrapped under the tree and enjoyed well into the new year.
