The Luminara string light turns almost any spot into a small pool of soft light. Its 12-metre LED cable unrolls around a tent, an awning, a pergola or a balcony railing and gives off a subtle 200 lumens of light from just 2 watts. Whether you are away camping or spending an evening on the terrace, it creates the same warm atmosphere, and it works indoors or as a gentle night light too.
The reel was designed to spare you the usual tangled-cable chore. Its user-friendly handle lets you roll the string out and wind it back in effortlessly, using only the length you actually need at that moment. The ABS housing, available in green or khaki, measures 3.8 cm high by 11.8 cm across and weighs 227 grams, so it slips easily into a rucksack or into a car boot that is already fairly full.
Charging is handled over USB-C, which does away with batteries and lets you top it up using the cable you are already carrying. Once charged, it can stay lit for up to 20 hours, comfortably enough to cover several evenings in a row. Since the cable is fully waterproof to IP67, neither rain nor splashes are an issue: the string light stays where it is and simply carries on glowing.
