This surface-mount LED downlight screws straight onto the ceiling, so there is no hole to cut. It works over a kitchen counter, in a hallway or anywhere you want clear light from a fixture you barely notice. Its flat, discreet shape fits easily into a kitchen, an entrance, a bedroom or a walk-in wardrobe without drawing attention to itself.
It solves the usual problem with bright LEDs: looking up and getting a dot burned into your vision. Thanks to its shielded glare-control diffuser, you never stare into a bare LED and the light spreads softly. The surface mounting is ideal on concrete ceilings or when you rent. Each fixture covers roughly 3 to 5 m² with focused light.
Choose the wattage to match the room: 7, 9, 12, 15, 18 or 20 W, and the colour temperature: 3000K warm white, homely in a bedroom, 4000K neutral white or 6000K cool white, handy over a chopping board. In a long hallway or galley kitchen, place several in a row for even light. The wide input range of 90 to 260 V suits most household circuits. With three housing colours to choose from, white, black or champagne, you can match the downlight to your ceiling and decor. You notice the light, not the lamp, and that is the whole point.
