This crystal whisky glass changes the way you sip: its rounded bottom rests on a hollowed wooden base, and a gentle nudge is enough to tip it and let it roll back into place. The whisky then swirls along the walls without any movement of your wrist, and the aromas open up while the glass sways. When you do not want it to rock, the wooden ring holds it steady, even on an uneven coffee table.
The cut pattern, in diamonds and facets, breaks the light through the wall and brings out the amber colour of the whisky, in the manner of traditional spirit glasses. The thin, smooth rim makes the contact with the lips pleasant, while the thick wall and heavy base give the glass a solid, reassuring weight in the hand. Two designs are available, basket or orbit, sold singly or as a set of three.
In daily use, set the glass on its base, pour the whisky once the glass is in place and give it a small push to start the motion. The crystal is dishwasher safe, preferably on the top rack, after a rinse with warm water to remove any traces of ice or whisky. The wooden base should be wiped with a dry cloth and never immersed in water, so that it does not warp over time.
