This cordless retro table lamp goes wherever you need it, with no socket to find and no extension lead to run. Its mushroom silhouette, a rounded shade resting on a slender base, recalls Art Deco and mid-century bar lamps. It suits a minimalist interior as well as a more classic one, on a dining table, a windowsill or a console table.
Its built-in battery gives eight to twelve hours of light per charge, enough for a whole dinner or a long evening. It recharges via USB-C in around three to four hours, and a small indicator shows when the battery is getting low. The light is dimmable and offers three colour temperatures: warm white for an intimate dinner, neutral white for reading and cool white for focused tasks. It shines from a light ring set between the shade and the base, spreading light both up and down.
The metal housing, with its grooved base, gives it enough weight to stay steady on the table. Compact and light, it moves easily in one hand from the dining room to the sofa, or out onto the terrace for a meal. It is not waterproof, so bring it back inside afterwards and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Four finishes are available, gold, rose gold, silver and black, for ambient light wherever you gather.
