Does your child want to fix things just like you? Real tools are not made for them, but this build-your-own wooden chair kit offers a version suited to their age. They follow the plan, turn the screws, fit the parts together and watch the chair take shape before their eyes. At the end of every project comes the pride of a job well done, along with the urge to start all over again.
Holding the small tools, reading a simple plan and assembling the parts works on fine motor skills, logic and problem-solving, while sparking a love of building. The kit contains one spanner, one screwdriver, 11 screws and 23 parts. Once assembled, the chair measures 17 x 17 x 27 cm; the whole set weighs 790 g. The parts are made of beech wood, carefully sanded and finished with non-toxic water-based paint. From 3 years.
Building together creates lovely memories: a project for two, followed by a photo of your proud child next to their chair. To clean, use a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry straight away; avoid prolonged contact with water. A birthday gift idea for little builders who love taking things apart and putting them back together.
